Introduction - fourth quater
Well, my last class of the year is English 12 B. This quarter will be my last before I start my journey in life after high school. This is supposed to be an introduction even though in reality this is the ending of our high school career. It has been a tough four years of my life, and I'm glad to be finishing. I feel accomplished and excited to begin life after high school.... Ill be moving out in the fall and traveling for the next year. I tried college; it wasn't for me. At least I know what I don't want to do. I love to cook, bake, and create beautiful pieces of edible art so I might just go to culinary school. I would love to have a cake shop and bake fancy cakes for all occasions. I would sell cupcakes, cookies, and cakes.

Final
I completely agree with Ms. Larrenaga's statement about our changing and growing technologies. Through these new technologies we can learn and grow in a whole new way. We can blog now! And send messages and pictures through the web. We even have personal cell phones that keep us up to date with every one we know. Technology is still growing. In the future, learning will be a whole different story. With new equipment to better suit higher intelligence will be extremely useful, but different from our technology today.
From this class, I will take what I have learned with me into the future. I will look at writing in a clearer light and use the knowledge for better. I think that the future will hold many things for me to accomplish and now I am just one step closer to being the best person I can be. This class have prepared me for college English where I can continue learning about the language.
The CAP documents helped me understand what was expected of me. They expected things such as cognitive and meta cognitive strategies to comprehend diverse texts. Also Analyzing a variety of texts in order to build connections and draw subtle generalizations and conclusions.
Blogging is a part of life for the 'new age' American. Technology is becoming more of a way of life, than just a resource. Blogging in school for a grade? If some one told me I would be blogging as an assignment, I wouldn't believe them. I blog with my friends at home and use the Internet for about 3 hours a day. My school, friends, communication, and pictures are on the computer. It is a big part of my life.
In conclusions, I have learned many new ways to discover and unfold new texts and literature. I fell I have gained an Insight into English, as a writer. I want to continue using what I have learned and be a literate person. Technology is changing fast. Just 20 years ago our phones were attached to the wall in the kitchen, and our form of communicating was across the fences to our neighbors and being more of a community. Technology has taken away some of that comrade re between people and the emotion gets lost in the no face to face conversations. However, it is a form of education and is important to our society.

Art Critique
I didn't make it to the field trip so today I will talk about a photo my brother took for his photography class in college. It's a picture of a lake, with a little wooden dock stretching out about 10 feet. It is in black and white, which I think gives it an Erie feel. You can see a little mist rising off the lake into the white sky. There is a seagull perched on a branch on the side of the lake where the pussy willows stood tall. The only thing that I would change about the photo is the lighting. If it was taken later in the afternoon there would be more color variation from the sun setting across the lake.

Media bias
Media bias is directly protrayed in the articles of two canadian news papers. In 1916, 'The Montreal Matin' and 'Toronto Times' expressed their opinions on Sir Sam Hughes, the minister of Militia. The Montreal Matin Titled their article as, "Hughes Fired From Cabinet", where the Toronto Times titled thier article, "Sir Sam Steps Down!" The Montreal Matin called Hughes incompetent and antagonizing. They displayed him as a selfish French hating, Englishing loving minister who treated the French Canadians poorly.
Another example of bias writing is Aljazeera.net, writtin in Pakistan, and tells a different story than the article written in America. Aljazeera.net wrote "US drone' in fatal Pakistan raid" and lists that 27 people have been killed in the missile attack by the US drone in a tribal district of Pakistan. The american Article is titled, "Suspected US drone strikes Taliban Target in Pakistin", and had listed that 12 people were killed. This shows how different the information verys and sways personal opinions. There is wrong information givin and truth gets lost between the opinions.

The presidents speach
A lot of president Obama's speech was directed at the youth in America. He stressed about the importance of education starting in our homes from the time we are born, and continuing to at least 1 year of higher education. He said that college would be provided for 7 million more Americans and it would become more affordable. He said, "...dropping out of high school is no longer an option... its not just quiting on yourself, its quiting on your country". He makes a good point here because America needs every one of its talents. To not perform to the best of your abilities would be a waste. If every American could receive a good education and go to college, then he could be more knowledgeable and successful. Parents play a huge role in the upbringing of thier children; our future.

Graduation Speech
Good afternoon fellow parents and friends. We are all so happy we finally made it to Red Rocks! It has taken exactly four years to get to this glorious day. We are overwhelmed with accomplishment for ourselves and one another. You know, my teacher once asked me, "what's different about Jeffconet that makes it unlike the traditional high school?" The first thought that came to mind was, "we're all real people, with real lives." In my life, i work part time, do high school on line, and go to CCD part time. My life is not like the traditional high school student.
Here at Jeffconet we are jump starting a new and better life through graduating, and moving up. I want to thank the heads of the school, Mr. Springer and Mrs. Springer, as well as Ms. Larrenaga for inspiring me to look at writing in a different way. I have to thank my parents for all their support in this journey, it was a wild one. It feels so crazy to be standing here in front of you all, I never thought i had the guts to make a speech at graduation. I have grown tremendously throughout high school and it has molded the person I am today.
I ask each and every one of you graduates to look on to the future. See where you want to be in life and go there. Find inspiration around you, it is everywhere. Immerse your self in it. Never let inspiration go. As Thomas Edison once said, "If we did the things we are capable of, we would astound ourselves." We are capable of so much and it would be a waste if we didnt perform to the best of our abilities. I'm going to leave here today with thoughts of what I really am capable of. The sky's the limit. Farewell McLain, and farewell class of 09' I wish you the best of luck.

The Lady or the Tiger
The Lady and the Tiger apply's to the packet in several different ways. The narrator of the story jumps back and forth between peoples thoughts and feelings and goes over the whole story plot. 3.a shows alot of what this story is. It is the choice between love and jealousy. The Princess was cruel and didn't want her love to be with another women so badly that she would rather him die. This shows selfishness and greed. The narrator displays betrayal in the princeses thoughts but never tells what door she chose. The narrator jumps from person to person in their thoughts and actions.
