Introduction - fourth quater

Well, my last class of the year is English 12 B. This quarter will be my last before I start my journey in life after high school. This is supposed to be an introduction even though in reality this is the ending of our high school career. It has been a tough four years of my life, and I'm glad to be finishing. I feel accomplished and excited to begin life after high school.... Ill be moving out in the fall and traveling for the next year. I tried college; it wasn't for me. At least I know what I don't want to do. I love to cook, bake, and create beautiful pieces of edible art so I might just go to culinary school. I would love to have a cake shop and bake fancy cakes for all occasions. I would sell cupcakes, cookies, and cakes.

Final

I completely agree with Ms. Larrenaga's statement about our changing and growing technologies. Through these new technologies we can learn and grow in a whole new way. We can blog now! And send messages and pictures through the web. We even have personal cell phones that keep us up to date with every one we know. Technology is still growing. In the future, learning will be a whole different story. With new equipment to better suit higher intelligence will be extremely useful, but different from our technology today.

From this class, I will take what I have learned with me into the future. I will look at writing in a clearer light and use the knowledge for better. I think that the future will hold many things for me to accomplish and now I am just one step closer to being the best person I can be. This class have prepared me for college English where I can continue learning about the language.

The CAP documents helped me understand what was expected of me. They expected things such as cognitive and meta cognitive strategies to comprehend diverse texts. Also Analyzing a variety of texts in order to build connections and draw subtle generalizations and conclusions.

Blogging is a part of life for the 'new age' American. Technology is becoming more of a way of life, than just a resource. Blogging in school for a grade? If some one told me I would be blogging as an assignment, I wouldn't believe them. I blog with my friends at home and use the Internet for about 3 hours a day. My school, friends, communication, and pictures are on the computer. It is a big part of my life.

In conclusions, I have learned many new ways to discover and unfold new texts and literature. I fell I have gained an Insight into English, as a writer. I want to continue using what I have learned and be a literate person. Technology is changing fast. Just 20 years ago our phones were attached to the wall in the kitchen, and our form of communicating was across the fences to our neighbors and being more of a community. Technology has taken away some of that comrade re between people and the emotion gets lost in the no face to face conversations. However, it is a form of education and is important to our society.

Art Critique

I didn't make it to the field trip so today I will talk about a photo my brother took for his photography class in college. It's a picture of a lake, with a little wooden dock stretching out about 10 feet. It is in black and white, which I think gives it an Erie feel. You can see a little mist rising off the lake into the white sky. There is a seagull perched on a branch on the side of the lake where the pussy willows stood tall. The only thing that I would change about the photo is the lighting. If it was taken later in the afternoon there would be more color variation from the sun setting across the lake.
